Caucus for Women's Leadership - Home

Edna Bore | I did my primary school education in the early 60s and sat for my Kenya Primary Education examinations at Kipsigis Girls School which was a boarding primary school for girls and qualified for secondary school intake. I continued with my secondary school education at the same school which had been elevated to a secondary school phasing out the primary school. I sat for my secondary school certificate examination in 1970 and passed very well. I was then admitted to Highlands school Eldoret (the present Moi Girls Eldoret) In 1972 I sat for the A levels examinations and did extremely well attaining 3 principals and 1 subsidiary and was admitted to the University of Nairobi in the faculty of Education. |

From the Chairperson's Desk |
The Caucus is currently re - launching its District Assemblies to County Assemblies to reflect the devolved government. Assemblies that have already experienced this change include; Mombassa County Women's Regional Assembly and the Makueni County Regional Assembly. Since the establishment of the pilot assembly, the Caucus had established 29 District Women's Regional Assemblies spread across all the 8 provinces in Kenya. The rationale behind this strategy is that effective and sustainable support for women’s participation in socio-economic development processes must engage and be led by members of that community. The Caucus plays a facilitative and technical supportive role, while the membership implements all program activities. |
