The Caucus is currently re - launching its District Assemblies to County Assemblies to reflect the devolved government. Assemblies that have already experienced this change include; Mombassa County Women's Regional Assembly and the Makueni County Regional Assembly. Since the establishment of the pilot assembly, the Caucus had established 29 District Women's Regional Assemblies spread across all the 8 provinces in Kenya. The rationale behind this strategy is that effective and sustainable support for women’s participation in socio-economic development processes must engage and be led by members of that community. The Caucus plays a facilitative and technical supportive role, while the membership implements all program activities. |

Narok North Women's Regional Assembly |
| I was born in the year 1952 at a village located at the borders of Kenya and Tanzania known as Engaboli in Namanga Division in Kajiado District in the south rift of the great rift valley among the Maasai tribe of Kenya. Born into a typical Maasai family which practiced all Maasai culture in totality. My father was a polygamist with 3 wives and several children. The family source of livelihood was derived from cows, goats and sheep, I grew up as a pastoralist child. Due to the pastoralist lifestyle we roamed from place to place in search of food for our livestock and | | people during severe drought which were prawn to the harsh environment of the rift valley. Like any other typical Maasai child, I grew up seeing the big five of the game species namely; elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and the leopards. Our village was located at the corridor of Amboseli game reserve which came later to be known as Amboseli national game park. |
