Is the Caucus a political party?

NO. We are a NON PARTISAN broad based national network bringing together women politicians, specialized non governmental women organizations and invited gender activists and individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting a gender responsive and democratic political system and institutions. We work to empower all women irrespective of their political, religious, social or ethnic affiliations.

What do you do?

Driven by the belief that gender equity and equality is intrinsic to national development, we are committed to seeking accountability from elected representatives on their commitment to gender equality, removing obstacles that prevent women from participation in decision making at all levels. This we do through mobilization, lobbying, advocacy and sensitization. More recently, we have embarked on an empowerment programme aimed at enabling women to influence economic, social and political decisions and processes.
